01 Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website at mjeventdesigns.com and your engagement with our team. By accessing or using this site, contacting us, or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

02 Who we are

MJ Event Designs LLC is a family-owned event design studio at 1000 Rahway Ave, Avenel, NJ 07001. We provide event planning, design, and rental services for weddings, celebrations, and other private or corporate events.

In these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean MJ Event Designs LLC. "You" means the person using our website or engaging our services.

03 This website is informational

All information provided on our website, including descriptions of services, images, and examples of past work, is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding agreement or a guarantee of results.

While we strive for accuracy, MJ Event Designs is not liable for any errors, omissions, or reliance placed on the information presented. Services described on this site are subject to availability and may vary depending on event requirements, location, and date. We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue any service at any time.

Nothing on this website is an offer to contract. An engagement begins only as described in section 5.

04 Consultations, proposals, and pricing

We do not publish pricing on this website. Every event is different, so final service details, pricing, and deliverables are determined during the consultation and proposal process.

A consultation is a conversation, not a booking. It does not hold your date, and it does not obligate either of us to anything. Any pricing we discuss is an estimate until it is set out in a written proposal.

Proposals are valid for the period stated on them and are subject to availability at the time you accept.

05 Bookings and your event agreement

When you book us, we will provide a separate written agreement covering your event. That agreement, together with the accepted proposal, sets out the scope of work, pricing, payment schedule, cancellation terms, and anything else specific to your celebration.

Your date is held only once the written agreement is signed and any required payment has been received, as set out in that agreement.

06 Client responsibilities

To ensure a smooth planning process, clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding event details, preferences, and requirements.

Clients agree to maintain open communication and to respond in a timely way to requests for approvals, payments, or information necessary to complete the event design.

MJ Event Designs is not liable for delays or changes caused by incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.

07 Things outside our control

Event planning and execution involve variables outside our influence. We are not liable for delays, changes, or losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, venue restrictions or closures, third-party vendor performance, utility or transport failures, illness, labor disruptions, government action, or emergencies.

Where something outside our control affects your event, we will do what we reasonably can to adapt and to keep your celebration on its feet.

08 Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, designs, graphics, and the MJ Event Designs name and logo, is the property of MJ Event Designs and is protected by intellectual property laws. It may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.

Our design concepts, proposals, mood boards, and layouts remain our intellectual property. They are shared with you for the purpose of planning your event and are not for reproduction or use elsewhere without our permission.

Testimonials and reviews shown on this site are the words of the people who wrote them, shared with permission or from public review platforms.

09 Event photography and marketing

We photograph the celebrations we design. Unless you ask us not to, we may use those photographs and any video in our portfolio, on our website and social media, in advertising, and in other marketing materials.

If you would rather we didn't, simply let us know before your event and we will honor it. It will not change anything else about how we care for your celebration.

Photographs and video we create remain our property. Where a venue or another vendor has its own photography restrictions, we follow them.

10 Your use of this website

You must be at least 18 years old to submit an inquiry or book services through this website. If you are planning a celebration for someone under 18, the parent or guardian is our client.

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Submit false, misleading, or someone else's information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or any related systems
• Introduce malicious code, or interfere with the site's operation
• Scrape, harvest, or copy content from the site by automated means

We may restrict or withdraw access to the site at any time if these terms are not respected.

11 Third-party links and vendors

Our website may link to third-party sites and services, such as our social media profiles. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Once you leave our site, these terms no longer apply.

Your event may involve third-party vendors, such as venues, caterers, photographers, or entertainment. Where you contract with those vendors directly, your relationship is with them, and we are not responsible for their performance.

12 Limitation of liability

While MJ Event Designs strives to deliver exceptional service and quality, we cannot guarantee outcomes beyond our direct control, including third-party vendor performance or unforeseen circumstances affecting an event.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability, if any, is limited to the amount you have paid us for the services in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of enjoyment.

By using this website, you acknowledge that MJ Event Designs is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages arising from its use.

Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MJ Event Designs LLC, its owners, and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of this website, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Changes to these terms do not alter a signed event agreement already in place.

16 General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed agreement between us, are the entire agreement on their subject matter. You may not assign these terms without our consent.
